Teacher Training for Action at School

The principles of working with a program of the ’Action at School’ type are taught independently of the program itself. Plans for 2008 include a series of training events for teachers in four regions of China.

From the program:

  • Introduce the science of climate change, current developments and research
  • Show how to carry out a carbon footprint of the school
  • Explain how to involve students in research-based study around tackling climate change in their schools
  • Show how to run planning sessions with students to generate action ideas
  • Build links between these schools and schools in the UK
