| What We Do | CCASA has been active since 2020 in South Sudan as South Sudanese national non-governmental organization in a nexus of humanitarian, peace building / early recovery and development sectors. CCASA is legally registered with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) in the Republic of South Sudan under chapter 3, Section 10 of NGOs Act, 2016 with registration number 3969. CCASA implements an integrated, multi-sectorial program portfolio of humanitarian, early recovery, peace building and development activities. The CCASA’s strategy and programming bridges the spectrum between humanitarian assistance, to long term recovery and development by responding to emergency needs, while building resilience among communities to withstand possible future crises. Founded in 2021, Climate Change Adaptation and Smart Actions (CCASA) despite its four years, has been actively brining sustainable solutions to the challenges in often hard to reach areas of South Sudanese population and communities: extreme poverty and its impacts on health, nutrition, livelihood, education, WASH, women protection and empowerment, adolescence’s development, interpersonal and communal violence, GBV, natural disasters and humanitarian crises, forced displacement that affects refugees, returnees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). We aim to create immediate impact and long lasting change for communities and our impact groups by meeting their urgent needs while at the same time breaking down barriers to achieving their full potential for recovery, and self-reliance. We partner with local communities, local informal and formal governance structures, institutions and entities to end poverty, hunger, injustice, gender based socio economic vulnerability, and violence, including GBV. By 2024 CCASA operates in Central Equatorial and Unity states. Over our organization history, we at CCASA have partnered with local volunteers, community based organizations, communities, community leaders, youth groups, rural women’s groups area based government stakeholders while implementing multi sectorial and context specific responses that are holistic and sustainable. |
