Two major projects which agado – Association for Sustainable Development are currently working on include ‘proCURE’ and ‘ESD in the educational work of the Munich Adult Education Centre’.
The aim of the EU project ‘proCURE – Joining forces for a sustainable procurement in small municipalities,’ is to empower small municipalities to contribute to sustainability through purchasing. The project is producing training material to support procurement officers in small municipalities in their day-to-day work. Part of this material is a train-the-trainer toolkit for NGOs and administrative staff to reach out to further public officers involved in procurement. Find more information here.
Furthermore, agado is currently working on a curriculum focussed on sustainable procurement that will prepare students at administrative schools and universities to implement sustainable procurement in their future careers. On behalf of the Munich Adult Education Centre, agado is currently developing training formats to enable lecturers to incorporate Education for Sustainable Development topics into their courses. The aim is to integrate aspects of ESD in all courses – even if supposedly unrelated to the subject (e.g. languages and sports). Find more informatione here.
